How to

Record an absence

  1. Go to Time → Absence.
  2. Click Create new.
  3. Choose the absence type: Vacation, Parental leave, Sick leave, Child care, or Other absence.
  4. Choose the Employee, Start date, and End date.
  5. Choose the Type, and enter either Hours or a Coverage percentage.
  6. Turn on Exclude red days if public holidays and weekends shouldn't count.
  7. Add a comment if needed, and save.

Note: An absence period can't be longer than 30 days, and can't start more than 3 months from today.

Edit or delete an absence

  2. Make your changes, or click Delete, and confirm.

Approve absences

  2. Click Approve in the bulk actions bar, and confirm.

Note: You can't approve a selection that includes an absence that's already approved — deselect it first.

Good to know

  • Absence requires its own module to be turned on for your company — separate from the Time Management module.
  • An absence can cover at most 30 days at a time.
  • There's no single-row approve or delete button — select the entry first, then use the bulk actions bar.
  • This page doesn't show a running total of absence days or hours.
