Important: Deleting a group, department, or area does not delete the employees in it — it only removes the grouping.
What do the fields mean?
Title
The name of the user group, department, or area — for example Cleaning team or Stockholm.
Employees
The employees who belong to this user group, department, or area. Search by name to add someone, and remove them with the trash icon.
Good to know
- An employee can only belong to one user group, one department, and one area at a time. If you try to add someone who's already in another one, BOS tells you and blocks the change until you remove them from the other one first.
- There's a limit on how many employees you can add to a single user group or department.
- User groups, departments, and areas are used to sort and filter employees elsewhere in BOS, such as in the schedule.
- User group and Departments are not the same as Divisions, which is a separate page under People.
